This is a handmade ointment MADE
IN ESTONIA based on old recipes with Bear Fat. The bear ointment is a care product for
muscle and joint problems and mitigates cold symptoms.
The ointment contains herbs that people have used for
centuries to strengthen their health and prevent diseases. The herbs contained:
marsh tea, heather, milfoil, wild thyme, and calendula. The pure Estonian
nature and Nordic climate make the herbs especially effective.
The ingredients have the following well-known effects:
Bear fat – is an effective treatment for flu, cough, and other
cold diseases. Bear fat heals chafed spots, sores, boils, burns, and rheum. It
is also used for treating nerve and ear pain, tumors, broken bones, gout, and
women’s diseases. Bear fat is a soft fat containing high amounts of oleic acid.
Grape seed oil – a
light and easily absorbable oil for use as a massage oil. Does not cause
allergies, mitigates acne, and has an antiseptic effect. Contains vitamins
(vitamin E 32 mg/100 g), omega-6 fatty acids, minerals, and proteins. The grape
seed oil has a high proportion of flavonoids and natural antioxidants that help
neutralize free radicals, preserve the skin, efficiently fight inflammation and
arthritis as well as help avoid degenerative diseases. Besides that, the oil
reduces the negative effect of the sun.
Beeswax –
traditionally, beeswax has been used on wounds due to its anti-inflammatory and
tissue-restoring effect. In ointments and creams, beeswax has a softening
effect on the skin; it also creates a water-repellent protection layer and
provides a mattifying effect.
Eucalyptus oil - energizing. Used for treating asthma, cough, and cold
diseases. Also suitable for fever and sinusitis. It has a pleasant scent that refreshes
and cleanses the room’s air. Mitigates airway diseases and flu and strengthens
immunity. Helps remove muscle tension.
Tea tree oil – tea tree oil comes from the Australian tea tree. Native
people know their healing effects and have used them for various infections,
skin inflammation, foot and nail fungus, and insect bites.
Usage: rub a thin layer of ointment on the affected
areas. The effect can be increased by massage and, in the case of cold diseases,
by heating, which also improves absorption. It can be used as a massage oil.
